The second and final major phase of Liverpool Lime Street’s transformation will take place between 2 June and 29 July 2018. This will include full and partial closure of train lines into Liverpool Lime Street.
Despite this, we recommend that you take the train as planned, since the delay will be no more than 20 minutes.
The advice for train passengers between Manchester Airport and Liverpool Lime Street is to travel on services via Liverpool South Parkway throughout that period (2 June to 29 July 2018). Liverpool South Parkway is just 10 minutes outside the city centre and 2 minutes from John Lennon airport.
Regular connecting train services will operate between Liverpool South Parkway and Moorfields and Liverpool central station (hotels will be able to advise which station is the most convenient). When purchasing tickets, please select ‘Liverpool all stations’.
